Lesson 3.3: Heat Loss and Insulation

Insulation has been a very important component of civilization for thousands of years. There is a need for suitable clothing for hot or cold climates. Hot climate demands clothing that can be cool and breezy. Cold climates involve a need for clothing layers that will be comfortable but warm. Homes also have similar problems to the clothing aspect. In the tropics homes do not need the insulation provided at greater latitudes. The insulation in homes in Canada provide a warm and stable environment for its people, all year round.
