2014 Moodle Summit EdCamp May 22 and 23 in Airdrie, Alberta
May 22:

9-9:15: Welcome & Introductions

9:15-9:45: What’s on your mind with Moodle? Format: Conversation

9:45-10:30: Planning to build a course. Format: Conversation & Presentation
Prioritizing, pacing, expectations, templates, assumptions, instructional design etc. There are so many things to consider when starting the development of a course. Let’s have a discussion!

10:30-12: Building 101: Format: Hands on, either single or dual sessions
There are many functional parts of Moodle. What do they do and how do they work. Lead by Moodle experts we will use sandboxes or live courses and we’ll click our way through Moodle goodness.
Building 101 - 1: Books, File Uploads, Assignments, etc.
Building 101 - 2: Course topics, POODLL, etc.

12-1: Lunch

1-2: Show and Tell: Format: Presentation & Conversation
Teachers will show us some of their work to stimulate our brains. Consider stepping up and showing us work you are proud of.

2-3: Moodle Admin: Format: Hands on, Demonstration, Conversation
Behind the Wizard’s Curtain.

3-4: Lesson tool: Format: Hands on
This session will make you a lesson activity champion. Bring ideas on what lesson you want to build.

May 23:

9-12: Assessments: Format: Hands on, either single or dual sessions Assignments/Rubrics/Gradebook/Quiz Building

12-1: Lunch

1-3: Playtime - Collaborative Build Time
